Magazine & Light Law Group Wins Settlement Against Insurance Company

Today the Magazine & Light Law Group successfully convinced an insurance company to pay a significant amount above the policy limits they insured their policy holder for.
A brief background: Jim’s client was in a rear-end accident causing a herniated disc in his neck. The client had an MRI and sought treatment with a spine surgeon who performed a series of epidural steroid injections.
The at fault party carried a Bodily injury policy of $50,000, Jim client did not have UM. Once the MRI was performed and the epidural steroid injections were performed Jim immediately sent out a demand for the policy limits of $50,000, giving the insurance company the ability to resolve the case within the policy limits.
The at fault party’s insurance company’s initial offer was less than the medical expenses. Instead of negotiating, Jim immediately filed suit and engaged in the discovery process.
Today the at fault driver’s insurance company agreed to settle with Jim’s client for an amount significantly higher than their policy limits of $50,000.
